"made by hand"
…these three simple words have always sparked something
deep in my soul. The act of someone using his or her God-given
talent to share with the world has forever been an inspiration
to me. This thought tugged at my heart while working in the
corporate world until one day, in 1998, I decided to try my hand at
living out my purpose by making something I love. Candles had
become a passion of mine during my college years. In my quest to
discover what contribution I could offer to make this world
more beautiful, I began to experiment with different methods of
candle making. I set up my own small “factory” in my kitchen. My
vision was to design a candle with not only vibrant colors, but
also fragrances that would spark enthusiasm in people. It
didn’t take long to realize that hand pouring candles is truly an
art. Simple in design and sublime in quality, I have achieved my
goal and satisfied my soul by making something by hand...my
hands! As friends, family, and a few retail shops sampled my
product, I was encouraged to broaden my product mix I had
started. My business was moved several times to expand with
growth. In 2007, we began offering another line of products that
has long been a passion of mine. This addition is our non-
traditional, distressed picture frames. Friends have long known
I have a love for old wood, especially that rare wood blanketed
with peeling paint. To offer a line of products that will fill
homes with joy and be appreciated at every stage in life is very
humbling. It's a true joy to come to our warehouse every morning,
and make use of both my valuable time and my God-given talent to
make something for the world to enjoy…BY HAND
